After what feels like forever… we can announce Mead’s Farmhouse Kitchen officially open!
We are definitely settled in now, this has been such a big change to our old little tearoom in the corner of the farm shop to a brand new purposely built building…
This has been a bubbling idea for years now & we are so pleased, relieved & excited that we can now actually open our doors to you. However, do not worry, we still have the famous chocolate cake & Victoria sponge that people travel miles for a slice.
The hardest bit for us was definitely choosing the name of our new café, all we knew that we wanted something that linked to the farm. That’s when it hit us… The farmhouse, particularly the kitchen is the heart of every farm. It’s where you come to warm up after a frosty morning feeding cattle & sheep, or to chat about the day ahead over a cuppa. There’s always a fresh loaf of bread & plenty of cakes to keep the farm workers fed & happy. Farming can be a lonely job so it’s important to have a place where everyone can come together for a quick meet up before going off to do their own jobs again.
