HOME PRODUCED

We are a family business and believe in good old fashion values, priding ourselves on producing our own Made BY Mead products.

All our products are produced on our family farm.

Home reared Beef

Our Aberdeen Angus are reared to the highest standards of quality and welfare. Aberdeen Angus is a native breed which has naturally marbled meat making it exceptionally tender and delicious.

We use specialist butchers to prepare our beef to ensure you get the best cuts. Enjoy!

Home reared Lamb

We rear a flock of 100 north county mules. These produce enough lambs to keep our shop well stocked. The ewes spend their whole year outside. Apart from a few weeks when they come in to lamb, beginning of March.

Our lambs mature slowly on species rich grasslands. This allows plenty of time to develop that classic lamb flavour we know you love.

Chiltern cold pressed rapeseed oil

We grow, press and bottle the award winning Chiltern Cold pressed rapeseed oil. Its unique flavour and characteristics make is ideal for dressing, marinades, stir-frys and cooking the perfect roast potatoes. A healthy alternative to olive oil.

Apple and Pear Juice

We have two traditional orchards which had been established since 1890. We have re-established a few trees over the years but many of the original trees still stand and produce great tasting apples.

We also operate a juicing service. Bring your apple to us and weโ€™ll juice and bottle them for you. Nigel has been juicing for years and always makes great tasting juice.

Firewood and Kindling

Weโ€™ve been producing quality firewood for 40 years. Our hardwood logs are traditionally seasoned, making them perfect for keeping you warm this winter.

We also produce our own kindling to help you start your fire. To find out about log size, prices and delivery area click the link below.
