![]() Dont get confused with the vegetable oil found in plastic bottles at your supermarket. This seed has been subjected to extreme high temperatures, degummed, bleached, deodorised and the meal is then soacked in a solvent to extract the last drops of oil from it! This process destorys the Vitamin E and reduces the shelf life of the product and therefore the Vitamin E is added artifically at the end! What to do with it? Its beautiful yellow colouring and nutty flavour makes it perfect for dressings, stir fries, marinades or even just for dippng your crusty bread in. Its high burn point makes it ideal for reasing producing the best roast potatoes to go with your Sunday lunch. In fact this oil is so versatile you can use it for anything. ![]() The Pressing Process With the new equipment now installed on the farm we can produce up to 300 bottles a day. The seed is harvested in late July, dried, cleaned and stored in our purposed built grain store to keep it in perfect condition until pressing. Before each pressing the seed is cleaned again and fed into a hopper leading to the press. The press runs at a low temperature thereby retained the ful flavour of the oil. The oil is then filtered and bottled on the farm. Absolutely nothing is added during the process.
